Cecilia Claudio is leaving her post as CIO of Align Technology on September 30, 2005 to join Mercury Interactive as its CIO. Claudio joined Align, which makes an alternative to braces for straightening teeth, in September 2004. Eldon Bullington, Align’s CFO, will assume day-to-day responsibility for the IT department in her absence. Prior to Align, Claudio worked for Zurich Financial as its head of its European, Asian and African IT operations and for Farmers Insurance as its CIO. Claudio is well-known to CIO readers, from her appearance in stories over the years, from What It’s Like to Live in a Two-CIO Family to Walk Like an Outsourcer, a tale of bringing outsourced work back in house.
Justin Hawley was promoted to director of information technology at Devon Health Services, a national healthcare cost management company based in King of Prussia, Pa. Hawley, 36, most recently served as senior project manager in charge of Devon Health’s NetworX and Goldmine applications. In his new role, he will manage all software and technical networks, oversee day-to-day IT operations for the 100+ person company, and resolve troubleshooting issues. Hawley joined Devon Health in 2003 after serving the company for three years as an IT consultant.
Soft Solutions US, a provider of merchandise management and decision support software, hired Tony Chebaya as its project delivery director. Chebaya comes to the San Bruno, Calif.-based company from Van Goh Consulting, a technology and finance project management firm he founded in 2002. Through Van Goh Consulting, he served as CIO of Harmony Airways. Prior to founding Van Goh Consulting, he was CIO and director of information systems at FACS Records Centre.
