Carl Wilson, Marriott’s EVP and CIO, was elected to the board of directors of Rivermine, a provider of telecom management software.  Marriott has been a customer of Rivermine since 2002.  Wilson has worked for Marriott since 1997.  Prior to Marriott, Wilson worked for Georgia-Pacific as its CIO and vice president of information resources; Grand Metropolitan as its senior vice president of management information services for its food and international retailing sectors; and Pillsbury as its vice president of information management.  Over the years, Wilson has been featured in numerous CIO articles, including a profile of Marriott’s revenue management system, which won an Enterprise Value Award last year, and a story on Marriott’s methods for measuring the return on CRM investments.

Anthony Iorio was recently promoted to the newly created position of CIO of Global Infrastucture and Operations for the Enterprise Technology Group at Marsh (a subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies.) He is responsible for the company’s global computing and network infrastructure as well as information security. He is also head of a shared service function that provides data and voice services to internal operating companies.  Prior to joining Marsh, Iorio was senior vice president and director of global technology infrastructure at Citigroup, where he was responsible for managing the North American technology infrastructure and operations group. Prior to Citigroup, Iorio held a variety of senior information technology and telecommunications positions in the manufacturing, insurance and hospitality segments of ITT Corporation.

John Hoffman (left) Applied Materials after 17 years to become CEO of RagingWire Enterprise Solutions, an IT outsourcing provider.  Hoffman most recently served as CIO and general manager of e-business at Applied Materials.   During his long tenure with semiconductor manufacturing technology provider, he held various senior positions, including president and general manager of the Wafer Inspection Division, general manager of the Global Intel Account and general manager of the Global Service Division.  He graduated from West Point.

Reuben Sandler (pictured at right) was appointed to the board of directors of PRB Gas Transportation.  Sandler, 68, currently serves as chairman and CEO of Intelligent Optical Systems, a developer of optical sensing technologies.  He has held this position since 1999.  Previously, he was president and CIO for MediVox, a medical software development company.  Sandler also currently serves on the Board of Directors of JMG Exploration, Inc., Optech Ventures, LLC, and Optisense, LLC.
