Microsoft’s CEO Steve Ballmer will get no special treatment this year when it comes to procuring his family an Xbox 360 game console, Reuters reports.
"The Ballmer children do not have their Xbox 360 yet," Ballmer said. "Thanks to the wonders of Sarbanes-Oxley, management does not get a free Xbox."
Financial disclosure rules entail that Microsoft would have to classify the free system, which bares a $400 price tag, as income for Ballmer.
"I’m in the same boat as many of you," Ballmer said.
Microsoft predicts the console, which debuted in North America on November 22, will sell upwards of 5 million units worldwide by the end of next June, Reuters reports.
