Keith Morrow (pictured at left) made out well amidst his company’s management shuffle. The CIO of 7-Eleven was promoted to SVP. The management changes were prompted by what appeared to be Jim Keyes’ sudden resignation in November as the convenience store chain’s chairman of the board and CEO and the appointment of Joseph DePinto as Keyes’ successor. Keyes stepped down from his post after Seven-Eleven
CIO received word from one of its first-ever Ones to Watch honorees last week. Darren Dworkin e-mailed CIO to let us know that he is now the CIO of Cedars-Sinai health system. When he was chosen as one to watch, Dworkin was CTO of Boston Medical Center. CIO launched its first Ones to Watch program last year to recognize up and coming IT executives, managers and directors who are exceptional CIO material. Judging by Dwokin’s new job, people took notice of our picks!
