Eric Sigurdson is CIO Practice Leader at Russell Reynolds Associates, a global executive recruitment and management assessment firm.
He leads the firm's Information Officers Practice and is a member of the firm's global Technology Sector. Based in Chicago, he has experience recruiting both technology professionals in non-technological industries and senior executives for technology-based companies. Eric's clients have included hardware, software, services and telecommunications companies. He specializes in executive searches, including for CEOs, presidents, COOs, CIOs and division general managers as well as for functional executives in sales, marketing, finance and business development.
Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates in 1995, Mr. Sigurdson spent 11 years with the IBM Corporation, where he held a broad range of positions in marketing, sales and management, with his last four years spent leading a software sales organization in the Midwest.
Mr. Sigurdson is a member of the Board of Directors of Chicago Sheet Music Corporation. He also co-chairs the Nominating Committee for the Chicago Economic Club. He received his B.S. in computer science and mathematics from the University of Illinois and his MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
