India’s mobile subscriber base has crossed 100 million, and as service providers expand their networks, they have turned to service providers like Nokia to manage their networks.
Nokia’s new Global Networks Solutions Center in Chennai, south India, has already started operations and will eventually serve as the hub for other Nokia operations centers around the world. The center offers a variety of services including remote care, remote integration, consulting, planning and optimization.
Nokia, of Espoo, Finland, also announced that the scope of an ongoing five-year contract in the country with Hutchison Essar, a telecom services provider based in Mumbai, has been expanded to include more of its networks.
