Falcon 9 Reusable (F9R) Rocket First Test Flight

This video is of the first test flight of the Falcon 9 Reusable Rocket (F9R).

Welcome to the future of space travel.

This video shows the Falcon 9 Reusable Rocket (F9R) taking its first test flight. It lifts off to reach a height of about 250m, hovers briefly, and then returns for landing next to the launch stand. These early flights of the F9R will take off with legs fixed in the down position, but they will soon be experimenting with extendable legs.

Eat your heart out Buck Rogers.
