The Evolution of Gaming Consoles

This infographic shows the varied and complex history of home gaming consoles.

I like to think I know a lot about things like this. Oh sure I was a young lad in the 70s, I had the Pong console, I had the Atari 2600, Atari 5200, Nintendo NES, Sega Genesis, Sega Saturn, Playstation 1, 2 and 3. I thought I knew pretty much everything on home consoles through the ages.

And then I saw this infographic, and I knew I knew little to nothing about gaming history. This is a really well done and informative graphic, that tells you everything you want to know about the popular and not-so-popular systems throughout the years. They also throw in sales numbers on the larger systems so you know who really beat who.
