Google Nexus 7 Tablet: Video Hands On and Unboxing

CIO.com's Al Sacco goes hands on with the brand new Google Nexus 7 tablet, which is expected to be officially released in July.

I just got my hands on Google's brand spankin' new Nexus 7 tablet. Check out the video unboxing below for a look at the device.

The Google Nexus 7 tablet is 7-inches, and it runs the latest version of Android, v4.1, "Jelly Bean." In fact, it is the only device that currently runs Jelly Bean.

The tablet has a 1280x800 HD display. It has a variety of wireless connectivity options including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC—no cellular version has been announced yet. The Nexus seven packs a Tegra chipset with quad-core CPU and a 12—count 'em 12—core GPU. And it has a front facing front-facing camera, though it doesn't have a camera on its rear panel.

Google plans to start shipping the tablet in July, but you can preorder it from the Google Play store today for $199.99. Read more about the Nexus 7 on Google's website.
