Today, U.S. wireless carrier AT&T said it will begin selling the BlackBerry Torch 9800 smartphone from Research In Motion (RIM) in both red and white color options starting November 7.
The BlackBerry Torch 9800 is currently available only through AT&T in the United States, and it comes only in RIM's traditional black-and-silver color. The new color options should arrive just in time for the upcoming 2010 holiday season, and the festive Torches will presumably retail for $199.99 with new two-year service agreement—the same price as the black-and-silver Torch.
The white Torch looks quite awkward to me, since it still has the same ol' silver outer-bezel as the currently available Torch. And I think the red version would look better if the keyboard area was red as well, instead of black. But the new color options could convince some smartphone buyers to embrace the Torch—or the colors should at least grab some eyeballs.

In related news, AT&T is also expected to soon announce the new BlackBerry Bold 9780 smartphone, which both RIM and T-Mobile U.S.A. unveiled earlier this week.
