Twitter and BBC America Team on 'In-Tweet Branded Video'

BBC America has announced a partnership with Twitter to support 'in-Tweet' video content, but few details are forthcoming.

Fast on the heels of its not-game-changing #Music service launch, Twitter appears to be jumping straight into streaming video content. BBC America has announced that it will be the first channel to team up with Twitter to present "in-Tweet" video.

What exactly does that mean? We're not exactly sure as the brief missive on the agreement came from a tweet written in nearly impenetrable corporate speak:

The tweet specifically uses the term "synced," which may mean that tweeted content will be part of a live second-screen experience, or it could just be that content will otherwise compliment or coordinate with their "entertainment TV series" in some fashion.

We have contacted both Twitter and BBC America for clarification and will update as we get more information.
