Third-party maintenance and support provider Rimini Street has experienced an increase in sales bookings for support related to Oracle products of 150% since Oracle OpenWorld 2011.
It has also announced at this year's OpenWorld that it will expand its services to cover Oracle Hyperion products, including Planning, Essbase, Financial Management, Financial Close Management, Strategic Finance and Management Analytics.
Rimini Street claims when companies switch their Oracle licences to its annual support, they will achieve 50% savings in annual support fees.
It also assigns a local primary support engineer to each client and offers 24/7 support coverage with a 30-minute-or-less guaranteed response time.

Rimini Street is currently embroiled in an ongoing legal dispute with Oracle, where Oracle claims that Rimini CEO Seth Ravin is using a 'corrupt business model'. Ravin set up a former SAP subsidiary called TomorrowNow, which Oracle alleged workers illegally downloaded Oracle software and support materials. Oracle now claims Ravin is using similar tactics, which is being disputed with a counter-lawsuit launched by Rimini Street.
Rimini Street has maintained it acts within its customers' rights under their software licences.
