Salesforce.com, a provider of CRM software, on Tuesday plans to announce its acquisition of Kieden, a small firm that keep tabs on Web advertising initiatives—a move that enables the CRM vendor to build functionality into its systems to allow customers to track their Google AdWords advertising campaigns, The Wall Street Journal reports.
Financial details of the deal have been kept under wraps, the Journal reports.
San Francisco, Calif.-based Salesforce operates a website that gives marketers and advertisers a unique, efficient way to organize and monitor customer data, instead of just employing traditional software applications, according to the Journal.
Google AdWords allow its customers to pay to have the search engine display their ads whenever users search for specific terms.
Salesforce expects to make the service publicly available this autumn for roughly $300 per firm, according to the Journal.
