"Done right, this may not change the central infrastructure. You may create more intelligence at the edges of the network, which will make operations more efficient," he adds.
And that’s the driving force behind RFID: to decrease retailers’ costs and increase their margins by keeping better track of inventory and enhancing service to customers.
