Why It's Significant
Like other hardware vendors, Dell is happy to promote virtualization as a technology that can help sell more servers and storage. Its fledgling services arm has offered infrastructure assessment services and guidance to customers interested in migrating. It recently purchased storage firm EqualLogic, known for its iSCSI stoarge-area network (SAN) and storage virtualization products and expertise.
