Exchange E-Mail Support Comes to Nokia 80M S60 Phones
Functionality to be free and will enable users to connect with corporate Exchange functions.
Current users of the S60 smart phones, which cut across a range of prices, will be able to download a client to the phones that allows them to work with an Exchange server, making it easier for those companies to support Exchange e-mail.
Future S60 devices will have the client built in, said David Petts, senior vice president for business mobility at Nokia, in an interview at the CTIA trade show here.
Petts said the setup process will be simpler than previously available for other Nokia devices. Nokia device users will be able to set e-mail priorities, receive alerts for meeting conflicts and obtain a global address list application to search for colleagues using the same e-mail server.
There will be no added cost to download the client.
