The third edition of the ICT 4 All Forum will be held in Hammamet, Tunisia, on Nov. 27 and 28.
According to organizers, the theme of this year's meeting will be "Broadband, industry of content for development," with a view toward shaping opportunities in the field, promoting investment and partnerships, and stimulating growth of the knowledge economy, particularly in Mediterranean, African and developing countries.
Tagged "ICT 4 All Forum-Tunis+3," the event will include a high-level international forum, as well as a technological exhibition to allow enterprises to present their innovations.
About 40 countries -- including the Comoros, Cameroun, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Finland, France, Morocco, Qatar, Sierra Leone, South Africa, the U.K. and the U.S. -- have confirmed their participation in the event and will be represented by their communications ministers.
Multinational corporations Alcatel-Lucent, HP, Intel, LG Electronics, Microsoft and Sun Microsystems have also confirmed their attendance, the organizing committee revealed.
The event is organized by the Tunisia Ministry of Communication Technologies in collaboration with the African Development Bank; the Economic Commission for Africa; the Global Alliance for ICT and Development; the International Telecommunication Union; the Tunisian Union for Industry, Commerce and Handicraft; and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development.
