Azaleos Offers Monitoring of Exchange Service
Remote management vendor Azaleos Tuesday introduced a hybrid monitoring service that covers Exchange deployments that blend cloud services and on-premises software.
Azaleos Launches Managed SharePoint Service
Azaleos Managed Hybrid Services combines remote management and monitoring of Exchange Servers deployed in a corporate network with monitoring of Exchange Online service. Azaleos does not offer a management option for the hosted service given that Microsoft provides that to users.
Azaleos uses an agent that monitors the activity between client and server to determine how a service is running. The agent pulls data into the Azaleos environment where it can be analyzed. The agent gathers such data as uptime and performance that helps determine if the service is operating at optimal levels.
"We will notify users of degradation of service and we are the ones working with Microsoft [to fix problems], said Scott Gode, vice president of marketing and product management for Azaleos.
Azaleos also has become a reseller of the Microsoft Business Productivity Online Suite (BPOS), which includes Exchange Online, and will provide the monitoring service as an option with Azaleos service contracts.
The monitoring initially is focused on Exchange Online, but the company plans to add support for SharePoint and Office Communications services that are part of BPOS.
Azaleos also will provide deployment, migration and configuration support to users setting up a hybrid Exchange environment.
The vendor is targeting companies that have subsets of workers who only need e-mail, that are combining operations following an acquisition, that are migrating away from or upgrading Exchange, or those that have regulatory and compliance requirements.
The Managed Hybrid Services starts at $15 per user per month.
