Winning Project Description:
YRC Worldwide's Roadway Express subsidiary had three separate customer service groups. Each group had its own set of screens within the system, many of which duplicated the same functionality. The project consolidated the screens into one common user interface. The company used an Ajax-like approach to development in order to minimize network bandwidth delays and maximize the use of the client's PC. By reducing the time it takes for the customer service center to respond to a client's query, the subsidiary increased revenue by 20 percent over a two-year period for five of its special product offerings.
