Hess
- Project Description: Hess implemented a variety of tools to facilitate collaboration among its globally distributed employees. Among the systems it deployed is a simulation tool that integrates digital elevation models, digital satellite imagery, GPS data and video media files of various geographic locations. The software takes this information and, through the use of an animation tool, shows users areas where Hess is considering construction of production, processing, and oil and export facilities. Virtually viewing the geographic location saves the development team time and money by eliminating the need for site visits. In addition, the company deployed LiveQuest, an application that enables collaborative sharing and analysis of data and other tools for accessing corporate systems from remote locations.
