While online reservations are not new, Hilton claims the ability to book group rooms, as well as meeting space, place food and beverage orders, and rent audio/visual equipment online, is unique. Hilton created eEvents using its integrated CRM, reservations and business intelligence capabilities, making information about group rooms and meeting space visible to the customer. It generated $2.6 million in revenue during its first year. Revenue for 2007 is projected at $19 million.
