- Project Description: The Pharmaceutical Oncology Initiative Partnership (a collaboration between pharmaceutical companies, the British government and the U.K. National Health service) developed a capacity planning tool for chemotherapy, allowing clinicians and healthcare managers to improve delivery of services to cancer patients. When fully deployed, the tool will help individuals involved in treating cancer understand the impact of adding new treatments and analyze drug usage, as well as develop, test and share best practices for chemotherapy delivery. In addition, patients are expected to enjoy shorter wait times and better access to new therapies.
