Verizon Data Services
- Project Description: Verizon's acquisitions and subsequent growth made it hard to reconcile customer and performance data across regions. Executives had no immediate visibility into product successes and challenges. And, because there was no universal set of standards for data reporting, comparison was impossible. To fix this problem, Verizon created a central data repository that combines data on individual customers from landline, DSL, VoIP, fiber, and video billing systems, as well as data from other sources on demographics, operations and competitive gains or losses. Verizon now has a 360-degree view of the customer across all of its brands and regions, facilitating analysis it can use to develop future business strategies.
