- Project Description: District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority developed and deployed the High Usage Notification Alerts (HUNA) system, which helps more than 2 million individuals in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area save water and reduce their water bills. The system analyzes daily meter data and provides automated notifications directly to customers when their water usage is high. Customers can then quickly repair problems such as broken pipes or hoses, and the agency can more efficiently schedule repairs to its own infrastructure.
