2008 Winner Profile
- Project Description: Motorola developed a data-centric security architecture, Enablement Zones (E-zones), which supports network connectivity for more than 65,000 individuals in 50 countries. E-zones eliminates traditional corporate firewalls, and instead fine-tunes security based on the protection required for specific users and applications. This approach to security has improved compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, general financial controls, privacy regulations and audit requirements. It has also enabled the deployment of more than 10,000 smartphones to access the data remotely.
