- Project Description: MyThings launched Trace, a search engine that enables customers to locate lost or stolen belongings using image recognition. Law-enforcement officials can compare images provided by customers with images in their own databases.The company has also launched a Facebook application that allows users to circulate information about lost or stolen property to their friends, local networks and campus police. This spring, MyThings is integrating data from the 40,000 police departments in the United States, allowing local police to have direct access to Trace's image bank of stolen items.
