The new command center, called "Solar System," is designed to serve as headquarters for sharing information and best practices from each facility. The tools available include video conferencing for communications between a factory and the command center. With eight SunFab customers now in place, Applied Materials says it has increased its energy and environment solutions revenue¿the majority of which is from solar¿by $819 million in three years.
