2009 Winner Profile
Kent State University
- Project Description: Kent State University applied an on-time, on-budget ERP implementation, moving from a multiple server, paper-driven system to a single-system, campuswide solution. Using a unique implementation model, the university used an on-site project manager employed by its software vendor, rather than a third-party implementation partner, which shaved several years off the implementation process. The system has enabled Kent State to digitize graduate school applications for efficient and timely review. The university has also enhanced its network security by using a system to generated ID numbers for applicant and student identifiers, rather than using Social Security numbers.
