BREG, a developer of orthopedic and post-operative medical devices such as knee braces, built a web-based application that helps large orthopedic practices track and re-order inventory. BREG says the new system makes it a preferred supplier because it helps customers run their businesses while supplying patients with products more quickly. It also creates a new revenue stream: Customers pay an average of $350 a month to use it. Last year that added about $275,000 in revenues, BREG reports.
