Arguably the most important handset to be announced in two years, the Palm Prebased on
Palm's new operating system, WebOSwas the talk of CES. It has a 3.1-inch display with 320-by-480-pixel resolution, a 3.0 megapixel camera and built-in GPS and 8GB of storage. Most of the phone's functions can be accessed and controlled through the touch interface.
The phone runs on Sprint Nextel's EV-DO network and promises to be available in the first half of this year.
