2009 CES Wrap-Up: The Hottest Tech You Missed

The 2009 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) boasted 2,700 exhibitors, and debuted a plethora of technology that will change today's and tomorrow's technology landscape. We got our exercise scouting the mammoth conference for the coolest technologies, gadgets, and prototypes. Here's 11 we can't stop thinking about.

Palm Pre: One Hot OS

Arguably the most important handset to be announced in two years, the Palm Pre—based on Palm's new operating system, WebOS—was the talk of CES. It has a 3.1-inch display with 320-by-480-pixel resolution, a 3.0 megapixel camera and built-in GPS and 8GB of storage. Most of the phone's functions can be accessed and controlled through the touch interface. The phone runs on Sprint Nextel's EV-DO network and promises to be available in the first half of this year.
