Are you a geek? In our increasingly techie times, it's a good title to have. Regardless of what the term once meant, it is increasingly coming to signify those who take pride in their intellect and passionstech and otherwise. And those who are at the forefront of innovation and change.
Just consider: Facebook, Twitter and other Web 2.0 apps have been adopted by the masses. Previously corporate-only smartphones like the BlackBerry are making a big grab for the consumer market. Sites like Digg and Slashdot are having powerful effects on what media does well, and Facebook and Twitter are creating extensive social networksand even breaking news. On the enterprise front, open source is going mainstream. And in pop culture, there's the increased popularity of geek cinema and geek chic.
So in honor of geeks everywhere, we compiled a list of 22 defining traits. Not all apply to everyone and we certainly didn't cover everything, so please suggest more or tell us what you think.
Geek Wallets
