Under the slogan “Be Ready”, Commvault is celebrating its first virtual EMEA event on December 2nd, an opportunity for partners and clients to hear all about the “triple C” — cloud, containers and crime — and how to protect their data.

In an increasingly digitalized economy, data management takes on more importance than ever. As enterprises generate an increasing amount of data, business strategy has evolved from a focus on infrastructure: Proper data management now defines the success of a business.
The exponential growth of data is a reality. Worldwide, the volume of data created this year is expected to approach 44 zettabytes, a figure that far exceeds the magnitude of information generated thus far, representing a challenge of dimensions up to now unknown to any organization.
CIOs need to know how to increase their business agility and ability to adapt to the new normal working conditions – many having to accelerate digital transformation projects planned for 12-18 months in the future to immediate priorities. The management and analysis of data is critical to this and requires three elements to be addressed: protection, availability and security.
To help CIOs meet this challenge, Commvault, a leading provider of software for the management of data across cloud and on-premises environments, launched Mettalic last year during its annual global event, Commvault GO, in Denver.
Metallic delivers a new Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) portfolio that’s fast, flexible, powerful and aimed at the most popular application workloads in the midmarket, with enterprise scalability. It also enables companies to affordably protect their on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid application environments.
“This product reflects innovation and ambition, it was built internally from scratch. Basically what we did was create a startup within the company “, explains Sanjay Mirchandani, CEO of Commvault. “The most important thing is the flexibility we offer, we are not tied to any service in the cloud.”
Metallic is now available in EMEA
One year since its debut, Commvault’s awards-winning Metallic Backup-as-a-Service (BaaS) solutions are now available across the EMEA region. Metallic’s enterprise-grade offerings —including Metallic Office 365 Backup & Recovery, Metallic Endpoint Backup & Recovery and Metallic Core Backup & Recovery — are now available in the United Kingdom, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Sweden.
“In a year, we’ve added support for new hybrid workloads, new features and UX enhancements and a strengthened partnership with Microsoft Azure. We’ve won awards and customer recognition alike for the strength of our solution in a unique time – when companies feel more pressure than ever to protect endpoints and Office 365 for remote environments and adopt SaaS solutions for agility and savings,” says Marco Fanizzi, vice president & GM EMEA, Commvault.
Virtual Connections: Be ready for the future
This past summer, Commvault celebrated its Future Ready event, where Mirchandani said: “Commvault is really, really ready for the future. Together, our best-in-class portfolio and enhanced partner ecosystem make it easier for IT professionals to move beyond the complexity and seize the opportunity in the cloud, ultimately to be ready for whatever radical change comes next.”
Join Commvault on December 2nd for its Virtual Connections, a fast-paced, 90-minute broadcast that aims to equip enterprise leaders to handle key data-management challenges with ease in 2021. This event is all about how Commvault can help managers ‘Be Ready’ and excel in their roles with agile, super-fast data management that keeps them on top of their game.
There will be the opportunity to hear from Allan McNish and Mark Webber – two of motorsport’s best-known names – on the power of data in motorsports and how they’re managing that data in 2020 and in the year to come. And finally, there will be a live Q&A with Commvault’s experts.
