Aged 53, Amit Jain is understood to have died due to cardiac arrest while at work. Jain was associated with TCS for over three decades, where he spearheaded its global IT infrastructure services.

Jain was a proud recipient of several honors including 4 consecutive CIO100 Awards before being inducted into the CIO100 Hall of Fame in 2016.

Jain’s colleague, Alok Kumar, who is the VP and global head delivery center management and shared services at TCS, shares, “I was fortunate and privileged enough to have known and worked closely with such a fine, quiet and humble colleague and friend for 3 decades. This is not only a huge personal loss for me but also an irreparable and irreplaceable loss of a pioneer in the IT industry.”
