The CIO of Marks & Spencer – Darrell Stein – has been appointed senior vice president for information services at Reckitt Benckiser. Stein will succeed Gareth Hill on the multinational consumer goods company’s executive committee, with the latter stepping down from his position in the summer. M&S confirmed Stein’s departure last week. However, it did not name his successor adding that the appointment would be made once he leaves. Please enter a valid email address Subscribe Stein has been at M&S for eight years. Prior to that, he was global director of information technology strategy and planning at Vodafone. Hill, a qualified chartered accountant, joined Reckitt Benckiser in 2006. He was previously information systems director at Arcadia. Prior to this, Hill was at IBM UK, Rex Trueform Clothing in South Africa and Arthur Andersen. His next move has not been revealed.
