Former Whitbread IT director Andrew Brothers has started a new role as Global CIO of TCC, a company running programmes for major retailers aimed at changing shopper behaviour.

Operating in more than 60 countries worldwide, TCC’s services include campaign design, logistics, measurement and analysis to attract new customers.

Clients of TCC include Tesco, The Co-operative, BP, Esso, Shell, Texaco, Dunlop, Head, Hello Kitty, Kappa, Lego, Laura Ashley, Tupperware, Fairtrade Certified Coffee, Bialetti, Philips, 7 Eleven, Carrefour and Spar.

Brothers was Group IT Director/CIO of hotel, coffee shop and restaurant company Whitbread – whose brands include the Premier Inn, Costa Coffee and Beefeater, from August 2009 until December 2013 when he left the multinational organisation.

The focus of a CIO profile in March 2010 in which he said Whitbread was running a majority-outsourced IT operation with his estate looking at innovations that could add value to the customer, Brothers was recognised with a high placing in the 2013 edition of the CIO 100 for operating a low Opex and his championing of mobility.

Brothers’ business technology leadership career includes being a store manager at major supermarket chain Sainsbury’s before moving into leadership roles at their headquarters.
