I met Carol Lawson, of KPMG, who is undertaking an independent audit, for OGC Buying Solutions, of the Microsoft Software Agreement Project.
We had an interesting conversation and, I think we agreed that one of the key “learnings”, so far, is that the Public Sector’s approach to contracting with Microsoft should be no different to that in engaging any other software supplier. This project, therefore, represents a prototype for all other engagements. Other points concerned focus and leadership from the Board.
The rest of my day was spent in correspondence, preparing for next week’s Board meeting, and for the National Advisory Council the week after next.
