British Airports Authority (BAA) CIO Philip Langsdale is expected to depart the company for the Department of Work & Pensions(DWP) by September. Langsdale will replace Joe Harley as CIO at the DWP and his role at BAA will be filled in the interim by Neil Clark, Director for IT Programme delivery. A spokesman at DWP confirmed Langsdale would start there sometime in early September. A spokeswoman at BAA said he had agreed to stay on at the company until the conclusion of the London 2012 Olympic Games. Clark joined BAA in 2009 as Head of IT planning and control. One of his key focuses currently is the deployment of systems in the new Terminal 2 at Heathrow Airport. Before he joined BAA, Clark worked at airline BA, which is a key customer for Heathrow’s services, for nearly 20 years. His final role at BA was CIO, airline operations where he reported directly to Paul Coby who was then CIO and head of BA services. BAA did not confirm how long Clark is expected to fill the role of CIO for the company until a permanent replacement is made.
