Findus Group land first CIO

Food manufacturer Findus Group, which produces seafood products under the Findus and Young’s brands has appointed its first CIO. Jola Gillespie joins from beer maker SABMiller.

Gillespie has specialised as a CIO in the food manufacturing sector having been IT director at Frito-Lay and Walkers, the crisp manufacturing arms of the PepsiCo company and began her career at biscuit maker Nabisco as a systems development manager. At SABMiller Gillespie was CIO for Europe.

Chris Britton, chief executive of Findus Group said, “She brings a wealth of knowledge to the business and will play a central role in our continual push to improve our organisation and to drive our transformation agenda in the years ahead.'” Gillespie will report directly to Britton.
