Goldman Sachs has entered into a long-term strategic partnership with specialist IO to provide data centre services to support its global data strategy. The financial services company will use the vendor’s modular data centre technology in Singapore, the UK and the US to gain business intelligence, real-time visibility and management of its data. The strategy entails switching from large central datacentre operations to modular installations to save on build costs and capital expenses.
