Codan Group, the Scandinavian arm of British insurance giant RSA has signed a managed services contract with Patni Computer Systems. Coban Group is one the largest insurance suppliers in Scandinavia, providing commercial and personal insurance services in Denmark, Sweden and Norway as well as a commercial marine operation in Finland, CIO of Coban Frank Andersen has signed a three year application management contract with Patni Computer Systems. In March 2010 Andersen has narrowed the shortlist down to three before selecting Patni in June. In 2009 RSA CIO James de Watteville told CIO UKhow the organisation has grown rapidly through M&A activity. RSA is a major outsourcing user with contracts at Accenture and IBM.
