Jack Wills has appointed a new CIO, Leon Shepherd moving from rival mid-range clothing brand Fat Face at the start of the year.

The fashion label, founded in 1999, targets university students with its private school and US college ‘preppy’ branding relating to polo, rowing and rugby.

At Fat Face Shepherd was business change and IT director in charge of multi-channel strategy across e-commerce, retail, merchandise planning, CRM, merchandise management and point-of-sale technology.

Shepherd has also worked for Vodafone and led e-commerce strategy at Marks & Spencer for four years, and before his role at Fat Face was global head of IT delivery at train operator First Group.
