Potter has been with OAA for two years delivering a business aligned IT Shared Services strategy. He will leave at the end of August, as the company’s IT systems are integrated with its parent, Canadian aerospace to healthcare specialist CAE. A spokeswoman for CAE was not able to confirm who would take over Potter’s role, but said that OAA’s systems would be fully integrated with CAE’s IT, which is the ultimate responsibility of group CIO Benoit Durand. Potter has over 30 years’ experience as an IT professional, working with consumer companies such as Virgin Interactive and Sony Computer Entertainment; public sector organisations such as Surrey County Council and the Metropolitan Police and financial services companies like Baker Tilley. One of his most recent posts was as lead infrastructure architect at the UK Border Agency. At OAA, he oversaw a project to migrate the company’s global network and data centre to a hosted service provided by Level 3.
