Linda Da Silva is the new chief information at ING Australia, replacing Ani Paul, who moved to the company’s Amsterdam headquarters in December to take on the role of global chief data officer.

Da Silvahas moved to ING from Westpac, where she spent the past 11 years in various senior technology roles, most recently as chief information offficer of BT Financial Group.

Da Silva, who is part of ING’s executive committee, has more than 20 years experience in IT consulting and leadership roles across Australia, Asia, the Middle East and the UK.

She has managed significant technology functions and has extensive experience delivering large-scale transformation programs across different industries.

While at BT, Da Silva – who took over from Anastasia Cammaroto in March 2017 – led the remaining deliverables for BT’s Panoroma wealth management platform.

ING Australia, chief executive officer, Uday Sareen, said the appointment comes at a good time as the business grows strongly and scales digital capacity across products and services.

“I welcome Linda to the team. She has the experience and skills to help accelerate our digital transformation and further differentiate our offering to customers,” Sareen said.
