IDC Global IoT Decision Maker SurveyIDC says cloud transition remains the number one digital transformation (DX) initiative across New Zealand, but deployments around the Internet of Things (IoT) are “picking up speed gradually”. These deployments incorporate cloud, analytics and security capabilities, reports IDC, citing initial results from its 2016 Global IoT Decision Maker Survey. Please enter a valid email address Subscribe The survey, now in its third year, asks enterprise IT and business decision-makers about their perception of IoT as well as their plans for deploying IoT solutions. The survey was conducted in July and August 2016 and includes over 4,500 respondents from more than 25 countries worldwide. Source: IDC New Zealand The respondents came from a wide array of industries including manufacturing, retail, utilities, government, health, and finance. IDC says over 160 organisations in New Zealand participated in the survey.Of these, 11 per cent have launched IoT solutions, with an additional 55 per cent looking to deploy these in the next 12 months as cloud and mobility dominate the digital transformation (DX) landscape.
