ASB has launched a 3D augmented reality app designed to give potential candidates a virtual, and interactive, digital experience when exploring work opportunities with the corporate banking team.

ASB believes the app is a New Zealand first in both the recruitment industry and financial services sector.

The app, which was designed and built by New Zealand Digital Solutions Agency ‘One Fat Sheep’, makes an advertisement come to life with a 3D video when it’s scanned by a digital device such as a smartphone or tablet.

“The leap off the page recruitment drive is all about going for an innovative and attention grabbing alternative, instead of an off the shelf solution,” says Steve Jurkovich, the bank’s executive general manager corporate, commercial and rural.

Jurkovich, who is featured in the advertisement, says embracing emerging technology reflects the culture at ASB. “We’re constantly challenging ourselves to deliver the best digital banking solutions, through innovation and service.”

The app also provides CV writing and interview tips, and users are able to register their interest in open roles at ASB.
