Telstra CIO Patrick Eltridge has resigned after four years with the company, the telco confirmed today. In a statement provided to CIO, a Telstra spokesperson said Eltridge recently informed the company he would be leaving to explore international opportunities. His last day is November 28. Eltridge confirmed to CIO that he had taken a role overseas, but declined to comment further. The spokesperson said Telstra had begun a global search to replace Eltridge in the CIO role. He had been with the company since 2010. Eltridge was head of strategy architecture, group technology operations at Standard Charter Bank in Singapore between 2008 and 2010. Prior to that, he CIO of Westpac’s business and consumer banking division, and CIO at seek.com.au.
