AusAID is seeking a new chief information officer to lead a large team and help provide strategic ICT advice to the executive leadership team.

The role will cover infrastructure and telecommunications services.

The CIO will work directly with the organisation’s senior leadership team, with the CIO requiring strong strategic and emerging ICT expertise and effective customer service skills.

The CIO needs to be results-oriented and will also be responsible for ensuring a sound information technology and management framework is in place to support the agency’s operations locally and internationally.

Candidates must have experience in strategic planning and execution, knowledge about contracting and negotiation and experience implementing IT solutions in large corporations.

AusAID is a government organisation and is responsible for managing Australia’s overseas aid program, which aims to help people overcome poverty. It also provides advice and support to the Minister for Foreign Affairs on development policy and plans.
