FMCG food company, Simplot Australia, is in need of a CIO who can find opportunities to improve business with customers and internal operations through technology. Simplot’s brands include Birds Eye, Edgell, Leggos, John West, Top Cut, Seakist, Harvest, Chiko, IJ, Ally, Lean Cuisine, Five Tastes, dish’d, Quorn and Caterfare. The new CIO will replace former CIO Samantha McIntyre, who did a lot of work around transforming business processes by tracking and analysing a product’s journey from the trawler to the checkout. The job ad posted on Seek states “experience in leading business through transformation, managing change, and team engagement will be paramount to your success in this role”. Applicants also need to demonstrate their experience in management of technology infrastructure, information system architecture, system development and program delivery. The CIO will report to CFO Thilo Schindler, and will be commercial focused when delivering ICT. Simplot is looking for applicants from industry backgrounds that fit its business such as manufacturing, retail, or consumer goods. Applications close on 31 May.
