The Australian Computer Society (ACS) NSW branch is offering five sponsorships for a mentoring program designed to give a business edge to techies.

The sponsorships will place the chosen senior ICT professionals under the wing of experienced CIOs through a 12-month program run by the CIO Executive Council.

ACS NSW branch chairman Patrick Wilson said the sponsorships will open opportunities and benefit the careers of its members.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for up and coming ICT professionals to further develop their skills by being sponsored to attend a specialised 12-month professional leadership development program which brings together best practice, thought leadership and customised CIO mentoring,” Wilson said in a written statement.

The ACS called on its senior ICT members to nominate for sponsorship, which will be decided by a panel of senior Australian CIOs.

Those wishing to nominate candidates for the The Pathways Program can download the nomination forms before February 3. The program commences February 9 this year.

The CIO Executive Council is part of the IDG Group.
