Ryan Bessemer has joined financial services firm, Equity Trustees (ASX:EQT), as head of business systems and information technology. Bessemer has worked for several listed companies, IT consultancies and software developers and is the former CIO of financial services group, Austock. He has also held roles at Frigrite, consulting firm Ipex, which merged with Volante in 2004 and software developer Software Spectrum International, now Insight Enterprises. Managing director of Equity Trustees, Robin Burns, said in a statement that Bessemer will be responsible for ensuring the continued upgrading of EQT’s technology systems and processes to support business development and meet regulatory requirements. Equity Trustees’ businesses include funds management, private client wealth management, responsible entity appointments, and corporate and personal superannuation and employs more than 160 people in offices in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. The company manages more than $4 billion across its funds management, private client and superannuation businesses and has more than $14 billion under responsible entity administration.
